Is There Any Way To Regualarise Periods With History Of Heavy, Long Periods After Starting Nexplanon Instead Of Zoloft?
I'm having excessive menstrul bleeding, months at a time, and am currently using nexplanon/implonon for birth control. Also was on zoloft for 3 months and the bleeding started after discontinued use, and currently am starting use of lexapro. I am wondering if there is a correlation between the drugs and birth control issues. Also is there any way to regulate my periods ??? I'm beyond desperate as the this is affecting my relationship and financially draining with all the feminine products I'm buying.
Zoloft discontinuation should in reality not have any impact on your menses. I think it was a mere coincidence and not related.
Please, some birth control methods may be responsible for messed periods. Also, there are other diseases that may explain irregular menses like infections, fibroids, etc.I will suggest that you get consulted by your OBGYN and the cause of this messed periods looked into and addressed. Also, there are various products that can help control bleeding. You may request for them.. I understand how frustrating this must have been but let your doctor know you really want it looked into once and for all.
