Is There Anything I Can Do For Acute Pericarditis Which Has Not Come Down Even After Taking Prednisone?
Hello. I've been dealing with acute pericarditis for 1 week now(40 mg) and have been on predisone for the same amount of time. I feel like there has been no change in my conditon and I have missed a week of work due to this...is there anything you suggest for me?..
Hi I read your concern and would like to say that you should do an ECHO to evaluate if the treatment has been effective. If no improvement than if I was your treating doctor I would probably add a NSAID (like advil). The next follow up woud be every week. Hope i answered to your query. Dr. Benard Shehu
