Is There Anything I Can Do To The Hard Lump On The Butt Cheek Which When Popped Bled And Gone Down In Size?
Hello, I have a small hard bump on my left butt cheek. It looks and kind of feels like a pimple, but when I try to pop it nothing but blood comes out of it. I have put alcohol on it as well hoping that will help. I never had this before, so I m just curious as to what it may be. Its not very painful, and has gone down in size since I popped it. Is there anything else I should do to it, or anything I can do to prevent it from returning? Thanks
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. From your description, the possibilities include a healed folliculitis lesion or an old sebaceous cyst which hashas calcified. Folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicle and sometimes it heals with a small bump formation. You could apply a topical antibiotic containing mupirocin for about 10 days which could resolve it completely. If it is a cyst , it will have to excised completely by a small surgery to prevent recurrences. Hope this helps you. Take care.
