Dear Dr. This is shabnam from Chennai . I m full term pregnant now. When i went for my check up toay my Dr told that that the baby has come down but my cervix is not opened . My EDD Is 12.05.2012 . My Fetal weight is 3500 +/- 500 gms . Could u please let me know know is there any complications ??
Hi,I have gone through your question. By saying that the baby had come down, your doctor means that the baby has entered the birth canal( pelvic inlet) and this is common in full term pregnancy. Cervix does not open before the labour pains start. I would suggest you to wait till 40 weeks of gestation, and if you don't get labour pains till then , do consult your doctor for further management. Till then, be relaxed. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
