Is There Permanent Damage If Throat Feels Raw And Dry Due To Binge Smoking?
I seem to have burnt my throat or esophogus from binge smoking after something bad happened to me. I havent smoked in 5 days now and my throat feels dry and raw. Have I done something permenent, will it heal and how long. I am not a smoker, just did something stupid
Smoking damages mucosa of throat, and chances of damage more during binge smoking. But mucosa used to repair within few days of abstinence. It is good that you had stopped smoking, so problem will solve in few days.
Same time smoking increases acidity and acid reflux which can also damage throat mucosa and lead to raw/dry feeling in throat. For that treatment with antiacidity medicines like pentoprazole may require in your case.
