Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is There Something To Be Worried About Rapid Heart Beat?
I have had rapid heart beat twice in one week was given sotalol 80mg half a tablet twice a day pass my stress test. but still have something in the pit of my stomach that bothers me. I have been a diabetic for 34 years, can you tell me if this is something to worry about.
hello, I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM. I would like to tell you that as your stress test is normal, you should not worry about your blocks in heart arteries which is common in most of diabetics.I would suggest you to check thyroid function tests and Echo cardiogram to rule out hyperthyroidism and any Cardiac dysfinction. If both are normal You must focus on proper control of diabetes as it may be indication of autonomic dysfunction My best wishes Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
