Is There Treatment For Lax Les And How Long Does It Take To Cure?

Hi

I am 26 years old.I got my endoscopy done as I am having problem of burps and food comes out of mouth.My endoscory suggest that i have lax les.I am taking medicines for last one month but still i do get this problem after every 5-6 days.Could you please suggest how long does it take to treat lax les.Is it curable?

Hi, the Lax LEE is a organic pathology that is loosening up of Sphincter. the medical management might be started for the reflux esophagitis. it may require 3-6 months duration to get cured. if the medical management completed and no recurrence of symptoms we can discontinue the medicines. if it fails you may require surgical Branding or other procedures. Discuss with your Dr in detail. Take care
