Is Third Dose Of Hepatitis-B Vaccine Painless For A Child?

Hi, my baby is in her 6th mnth n due for her hep b3 vaccine. Earlier 2 dosage we gave her in a different city(kerala, India ),and that seemed to be painless. Now im in Maharashtra, India and want toknow if the 3rd dosage will too be painless or I have to specifically ask my ped for a painless vaccine. Pls help.

Thanks for posting your query at HealthCareMagic. Hepatitis B vaccine is given as an intramuscular injection which is the same mode in which you may receive a tetanus toxoid when you get some cuts. The technique is very simple. If given properly the pain is not much and you need not worry about it. There is nothing called a painless injection. The person giving the injection is supposed to know the technique and you need not worry about the pain.
