Is This Test Accurate?
hi doctor, after exposure to penetrative vaginal sex, could not wait for 28days. on 17 days, my doctor do a p24 ab + ag screen and it is negative. but my doctor ask me to confirm in 6 mths or a year. is 17 days test accurate. i am travelling, testing on 35 days any good?.tgvm

HIV combo test with P24 antigen and antibody test is highly reliable. Antigen can be able to be detected from the first week on wards.But this will be considered more conclusive after 4 weeks.
As you had planned an antigen based HIV test after 35 days, would be more conclusive. Test after 6 months and 1 year are not necessary.
