Is Tingling In Lower Arms And Hands While Urinating After Stent Placement In Heart Normal?

My boyfriend who is 65 has been having a tingling sensation in his lower arms and hands while urinating. But this began immediately after having a stent put in his heart? He told his heart dr and he laughed it off and said he never heard of such a thing. It happens every time?

Hello. Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Actually it is really weird to have such type of symptoms. I even don't heared it any time!!

Anyway one possibility is after the age of 60 our reflex system is weak, which will cause sometimes tingling sensations or even syncope (unconsciousness) during micturition or defecation.
Sometimes blood pressure medications or diuretics prescribed after stent placement may give rise to precipitation of this symptoms.

So, my advice to you is -

1 . Kindly ask your doctor if any blood pressure medication which can do postural hypotension or syncope is there in the prescription or not.

2. You should consult a Neurologist and ask him whether tests for autonomic dysuria required or not.

I hope my guidance will help you to deal with your problem.
Thank you.. Have a nice day.
