Is Tonsillitis Related With Coughing White Globules?
It all started out probably when I was a child.Ever since I can remember occasionally I would cough up small white globules from the back of my throat. They smell vile, and are much smaller than my fingernail, probably about the size of my pupil. Tonsilliths are what I've seen them be called. Any ideas?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain yes it is true that you are suffering from tonsilloliths or tonsil stones and can occur due to calcification of dust and food debris on the tonsils and it acts as a potent cause for inflammation of tonsils.. You can remove them using a q-tip or consult an Otolaryngologist and get it removed.. You should limit the formation of the stones by gargling with warm saline solution, gargle after meals and limit intake of milk products and other high calcium foods as they increase stone formation.. In case if there is recurring stone formation and it causes recurring throat infection and inflammation and bad breathTonsillectomy that is surgical removal of tonsil is advisable..
Hope this information helps..
