Is Ulcerative Colitis Associated With Joint Pain?

I have experienced painful joints on my left side...in my shoulder, elbow, wrist and left buttock since taking pantoprazole for a few days when my doctor thought I might have a stomache ulcer. My elbow is not only hurting; it is also weak. Should I consult my doctor? This has been going on for a month and a half.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In my opinion, a hurting elbow needs priority treatment and it is not related to Pantoprazole use.

I would suggest painkillers and a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
