Is Undergoing Abortion Safe?

i am 14 weeks pregnant and i want an abortion. is it safe to abort a child. i consulted the doctor and she said that i need to be admitted to hospital for 3 days. i am a medical student too and it is very difficult to have 3 consecutive leave. so what can i do in this case????

Understand your concern
Yes you have to spare 2-3 days for abortion treatment as your pregnancy is advanced and slight more risk of excessive bleeding. First intrauterine pregnancy is confirmed by USG scan as abortion generally used for intrauterine pregnancy.
Following are the treatment of 14 weeks pregnancy:

Medical treatment:
1. Intramnionic injections - hypertonic saline, ethracridine lactate,
prostaglandins
2. extramnionic injections- ethracridine lactate and prostaglandins
3. Vaginal route: misoprostol 200-400 ug every 3-4 hourly.
Induction abortion interval is around 12-15 hours
Surgical treatment: suction evacuation.
You should go for surgical process as it is successful and bleeding is less compare to medical treatment.
Rest for 48 hours, anlgesic and proper pelvic hygiene should be maintained
