Is Unprotected Intercourse Safe While On Primolut N?
hello, I am going for a vacation with my husband and want to delay my periods. I am planning to take Primolut N for the same. I have not had sex for the past two months and will be having after I start the dose of Primolut N. Can I have unprotected sex while on Primolut N? Also, I was told the dosage is 1 tab twice a day, is it OK?
To delay your periods you should take Primolut N thrice daily, till you don't want your periods. Low doses or missed doses will not work you will start having periods. However, Norethisterone (Primolut N) cannot be used as a contraceptive; if you have unprotected sex you can become pregnant.
Either go for protected sex or take contraceptives if you want to avoid pregnancy, consult your gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
