Is Unprotected Sex Safe After Implanon Insertion?

Hi I recently had the implanon inserted on the 16th of this month I had unprotected the day after I took a test today and it said negative , I also have light bleeding enough to have to wear something but it starts then stops, is it ok to have unprotected sex even though this is happening or will I fall pregnant?

Hello,

You have been protected and no additional contraceptives are required now. The chances for pregnancy is very low and you can go for a urine pregnancy test just for reassurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
