Is Urine Test Mandatory During Check-ups Post Mastectomy And Lung Surgeries?

I am 73 years old . I have had double mastectomy, a d two lung surgeries for cancer. Today when I went to pick up my prescription for Percocet, they hustled me into a bathroom for a urine test. Is this something new? Is it even legal? YYYY@YYYY

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

Noone can force you to do something that you did not want to. It is not usual to di urine tests with no reason which should have been explained to you. I am not sure what was the reason either, this is not usual follow up test for cancer...so you should consult doctor who ordered it.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
