Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve tried many times to give up smoking, i.e. lung association course, patches, Nicorette gum, some pills which I can t remember the name, and Champix. Just for Champix alone, I spent over 1K. Now I want to try and stop again but being a senior, I cannot afford to pay for the Champix. I do have some left though but the expiry date is March 2014. Would it be effective/safe to take these now
I would not suggest you to take champix if its past the expiry date as it might cause you more harm than benefit. You could again try nicotine chewing gums.I personally feel it to help my patients very much in quitting smoking.
