Hi, so I had intercourse with man unprotected about 5 days ago. A few days after I started getting sick and my vaginal area has been really itchy... to the point where it hurts to pee and sore to the touch. I have been scratching at it because the itch is so bad. I'm really worried I might have an std or hiv? are these hiv symptoms?? What do you think it might be?
Hello and thanks for your question. It's my first priority to help you. Well as you describe,it sounds vaginitis. And if you have vaginal discharge so possible causes like Vaginal yeast infection(if it's thick, white discharge),Bacterial vaginosis(if you have fishy smell),STD. Chances of HIV are very less likely. You should try OTC Monsitat vaginal cream. Also do warm water sitz bath with betadine solution for 10-15 minutes. Take OTC Claritin and Motrin. You should start a probiotic. Eat yogurt. You should try boric acid suppositories. And see your gynecologist for a pelvic examination. Hope this helps.
