Is Vegetarian Diet Advised When Function For One Kidney Is Lost?
MY 23 yr old son who is a neurogenic bladder has lost the function of one kidney he was a case opf lipomyleomenengoceal(not sure of the spelling)now is having 97% FUNCTIONING OF ONE KIDNEY FEELS HE IS HAVING aLBUMIN IN URINE ,HE IS VERY FOND OF NON VEG FOOD .....SHOULD I PUT HIM ON VEG DIET TO REDUCE HIS PROBLEM

Since your son has a condition which puts his kidneys at risk of damage,hence in view of presence of albumin in urine it will be advisable to avoid excess proteins in the diet. Vegetarian source of protein is thought to be better than nonveg protein. Therefore,you can safely change over to veg diet.
