Is Vomiting And Heavy Painful Bleeding With Clots Normal While On Seasonique?

I am 27 years old and have had severe female problems. I have been taking seasonique for 2 weeks and started my period 4 days ago. I am having naussa, vomiting, fatigue, headaches, bleeding more than usual and passing larger blood clots than usual, and very bad cramping. I have been in bed for 2 days with the heating pad, taking vicadin and a muscle relaxer. Is this the normal side effects and is there any thing else I can do to get rid of the pain? I have to go to work tomorrow and do not know if I will make it.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. While using hormone contraception, it is common to observe menstrual disturbances during the initial months until the body adjusts to the new hormone milieu. However, heavy bleeding calls for proper medical attention. You need to get treatment to arrest the bleeding. This includes styptics and if needed, hormones. You may have to change the contraceptive combination also. Hope this helps.
