I have white nail beds... is that a sign of something wrong? Just took off nail polish and had not noticed it before now. It starts from the bottom and up more of a quarter of the way. I ask also because I had had brain surgery and I remember my doctor saying that I had experienced some protein changes (among many other).
Hi!white nail is known as leukonychia. It may be just familial or idiopathic.Trauma to nail matrix is another cause like manicuring. However it may be associated with low serum albumin, kidney and ,liver disease and anemia.
