Is Whooping Cough Contagious Among Kids?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... yes, we have a 2 month old family member that is at the ER tonight with an upper resp. infection and a very mild case of Whopping Cough sp? The ER dr states he is not contagious at this point? we are concerned, should we be ....we have family members that are here for the holidays and several small children that has been around the child? would love any views or opinions? Whooping cough is contagious and all the other family and household contacts should be getting oral Azithromycin for 5 days at the appropriate dose, please.
