Is Writing Mirrored Words A Sign Of ADHD?

My little boy is an only child, has not had any preschool, daycare, etc..anything that involves being in a setting around a bunch of other children. Kindergarten is his first experience in such a setting. He is not as developed in social areas, expressing himself, carrying on conversations, etc. He rarely brings up things he did each day, without us asking him..and he tends to repeat the questions we ask him, back to us, rather than answer..He is always wanting to learn, asking how to spell different words, and writing.. He is really into learning his letters, sight words, spelling, and writing the different words, drawing the different shapes, and he retains the information very well. I am confused. I am scared. His teacher said the other children baby him, and that she feels he may be Developmentally delayed . I spoke with his pediatrician, and she thinks the teacher is jumping to conclusions and making worry too soon, but I cant help but worry. He is left hand dominant, I don t know if that matters, and he does sometimes write things completely backwards , I mean perfectly mirrored. His father (my husband) is dyslexic and had ADD, I had ADHD , I don t know if that could have anything to do with it. Also, his fine motor skills are on level. Any advice?

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you should get him assessed for autism and ADHD by a professional. Parental or teacher concern is a reason enough to get an assessment done. Mirroring of the letters does not mean child may have ADHD.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you
