Itching, Burning Bumps On Head, Filled With Liquid, Hair Loss, Holes In Skin. Advise?
About a year ago I started getting bumps on my head. I initially thought they were boils. They never went away. In fact they grew larger and spread over my entire head. I've lost hair because of them. They are filled with fluid. Sometimes its clear sometimes its bloody while other times its yellow and green . They itch and burn. They sometimes leak on thier own. Now there are small holes in my skin that don't seem to close.
Hello, Welcome to health care magic. You seem to be suffering from a type of scal infection which is causing hair loss called folliculitis decalvans. You need to confirm it by doing a scalpbiopsy and the pus should be sent for culture test. It is better if you could consult a dermatologist soon. The hair loss can be irreversible at times and the holes that you see could be part of the scar on your scalp. You will need a course of antibiotics. There may be remissions and flare ups, so a follow up is important. Hope the helped. Take care.
