Itching In Anus While Passing Stools, No Constipation. Safe To Clean With Diluted Antiseptic Liquid?
having itching problem in stool passing area, it also creates problem when wash in the morning. Its ok if i clean with diluted antiseptic liquid e.g. dettol etc. or apply some anti mycotic /anti inflammatory / anti pruritic cream or apply some oil etc. there is no constipation . if i take above mentioned measures, then its ok. lateron after 2 or 3 days problem appears again.what to do?

hi,
the itching around the anus is mainly due to fungal infection. This occurs because of lot of moisture retained in the deep inter-gluteal cleft. It may also be due to sticky mucus leaking from the anus everytime one passes gas. You should visit a colon-rectal surgeon & proctologist to find if there are any pathologies inside the anus or rectum which gives rise to this problem.
Please donot apply 'dettol' (its used only on advertisements - have you ever seen any dettol in any hospital) It may cause chemical dermatitis. Plain soap and water cleaning is all that is required.
keep the area dry by using an antifungal powder (your chemist will help you with market names as we donot intend to promote a particular brand or company).\
Please go & show to a proctologist/colon-rectal surgeron.
