Itching In Vagina. HVS Test Done. Pus Cell And Epithelial Cell, Scanty, Gram Positive Bacilli, Cyst Found. On Ofloxacin. Meaning?
Hi. Please what does pus cell (scanty) and gram positive bacilli in HVS test mean? Also what does epithelial cells - scanty (1-5) and pus cells -hpf 0-5 in urine test mean? Also, what does it mean if your urine test shows a ph level as follows: 4,6-8.0 7.0?
What's s.g - 1.010 - 1.025 1.015? Everything else in the urine culture/microscopy was negative.
i insisted on having the test done because i'm having a very uncomfortable itchy feeling deep in my vagina and some pain when i urinate. This feeling started after i had sex 2 months ago and i thought it was an infection. i was given antibiotics (ofloxacin and something else i can remember) but i'm not feeling better. my doc here did a vag scan and abdominal scan and says he found a cyst in one of my ovaries and i always have lower abdominal pain. i have a sister with stage 4 breast cancer. My dad died of colon cancer when i was 10 yrs old. i'm scared that i may have some kind of cancer. right now a boil in my anus area is reducing on its own. So is a boil in my right groin. I just dont like the way i'm feeling down there and generally.

Hello.The results of urine and vaginal secretion analysis indicate that you have vaginal infection and urethral infection.These pathologies are not related to cancer.Ofloxacin that you have taken is effective for urethral infection but is recommended add another antibiotic to treat vaginal infection.
I treat my patients with Metronidazole 500 mg twice a day,10 days, when vaginal infection is the diagnosis.Please consult your local doctor for a prescription.I wish you good health.
