Itchy Palm, Scalp, Whelps In Face. Prescribed Prednisone, Taken Steroid Shot, Symptoms Recurring After Stopping Medication
3 weeks ago my palms and inbetween my finger were itch really bad, then my scalp started to itch, and one side of my face broke out in whelps. I went to the doctor and he gave me a steroid shot and a dose pack of predisone. Everything cleared up until one week after finishing the predisone. Now my hands fingers and scalp are itching again like crazy, but no whelps. What could be causing this, No change in soaps, detergents, shampoo etc.

May be due to .
1 Scabies , as you described that there is intense itching in between fingers and got relief with steroid , this in itself indicates that this may be due to scabies. Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical as well clinical examination by a dermatologist . Scratch test from fingers ( in between ) may find scabies causative organism.
2 Due to urticaria , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical as well as clinical examination by a dermatologist .
3 Dermatitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by swab culture from infected parts.
In my opinion consult another dermatologist and get his opinion ( 2nd).
At present I advise you please don't take prednidolone.
