Itchy Rashes Due To Bad Reactions To Cymbalta And Gabapentin. Inflammatory Rashes Due To Sugar Or Carb Intake?

I've had bad reactions to Cymbalta & Gabapentin. I stopped both because an itchy rash began to appear.
It was 1st on myscalp, left side. It was thot to be a Cymbalta withdrawal symptom even tho' I did taper Cymbalta before quitting it altogether. Gabapentin has some relation as Cymbalta does affecting the CNSystem. so when the rash started two weeks after tapering & quitting Gaba.Cymbalta rash took 6 months to resolve. The Gabapentin rash is worse than the Cymbalta one was. I'm wondering if my sugar or carb intake exacerbates the inflamatory rash.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Both medications , particularly cymbalta, can be potentially associated with a skin rash.

It would be difficult to say which one caused the reaction.

In terms of the possibility that carbohydrates may have worsened the rash, it is not likely. It is not a known interaction with these medications,

I hope this helps
