Itchy Red Bumps On Mons Pubis, Dry Skin, Oozing Blood When Squeezed. No Pain, Occasional Hair Growth On Bumps. Any Ideas?

Hi. I have 2 or 3 red bumps on my mons pubis. Sometimes they itch, but not often, they don't hurt at all, and my skin is dry. I used to shave that area, and ever since then (3 years ago) these bumps haven't left. If I squeeze them they turn bright red, plus and blood comes out. I've noticed I had one of them once, and it had a hair growing out of it. What could this be?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Itchy bumps always raise the suspicion of a fungal infection. However, the long standing nature of this problem warrants that you consult a physician, preferably and OBGYN. GEt examined and probably do a few tests if judged necessary to get a definitive answer and treatment plan. It is best to get it all sorted out earlier than later.

I hope you find this information helpful and provides guidance on how to proceed. I wish you the best of health.
