Itchy Vagina, Fishy Smell, Lumps On Labia, Burning Sensation During Intercourse, Burning Urination. What Is It?
I have recently noticedmy vagina has become itchy and has a weird fishy smell. On closer inspection I notice two small pimple like lumps on my labia near my anu. While having intercourse I experienced a burning sensation and now when I pee it burns too. Additionally small pimple like sore have appeared near my clit and look to be puss filled. What is it ? I have only protected sex.
Hello,
thanks for using health care magic.
From the symptoms you have described, its most likely that you have a bacterial vaginosis which is infection of your genital tract/vagina with one of the bacteria normally present and most probable Gardnerella sp. Bacterial vaginosis presents with itch and typically fishy ordour which become more present after intercourse. However, with the presents of painful intercourse and painful peeing, associated infections with Trichomoniases and Yeast have to be ruled out.
You should visit your doctor for proper examination for a vaginal smear with microscopy, pH, KOH etc for identification of the causative agents.
Unprotected intercourse is not the only predisposing factor to infections, douching, hormonalcontraception, poor hygiene, could also predisipose you.
Best regards and hope this helps.
