Why Does Ketchup Smell Unbearably Strong And Chemical-like After Being Sick?
I ve been sick for a little over a week, and couldn t taste for a while because I couldn t smell. Now I can smell and taste again and I ve discovered that ketchup has become unbearable. It hurts my nose in a similar way as ammonia and has a very chemical smell. I ve eaten it twice from two very different sources including different brands and they both did the same. I ve never experienced this before, is it a symptom of a specific illness? Will it go away when I get better? I usually quite enjoy ketchup. (The taste hasn t changed much, I just cannot handle the aroma associated with it.)
