Kicked To Lower Ribs, Hurts, Freezing, Sweating, Lacerated Spleen, Stopped Bleeding, On Norco. Suggestion?

My name is Trey Chipman, I am 18 years old and I am 6'0 and weigh 140 pounds. I was kicked by a horse about 3 weeks ago on my left lower ribs. It lacerated my spleen and I was hospitalized for about 3 days. They did not remove my spleen, they just watched it to make sure it stopped bleeding. I have been taking Norco, and just recently ran out. It has been hurting pretty bad and I have had some wierd symptoms like being freezing cold but sweating profusely.I need to know if I should go back to the hospital. I just need advice. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The feeling of being cold and sweating may indicate that you have a fever. Infections can also sometimes be associated with pain in the area involved.

You may want to return to the hospital for the doctors to determine if a secondary infection has occured.

This would require examination of the abdomen, full blood count , ESR (checks for inflammation of the blood).

If an infection is present, antibiotics would be required.

I hope this helps
