Kicked To Lower Ribs, Hurts, Freezing, Sweating, Lacerated Spleen, Stopped Bleeding, On Norco. Suggestion?
My name is Trey Chipman, I am 18 years old and I am 6'0 and weigh 140 pounds. I was kicked by a horse about 3 weeks ago on my left lower ribs. It lacerated my spleen and I was hospitalized for about 3 days. They did not remove my spleen, they just watched it to make sure it stopped bleeding. I have been taking Norco, and just recently ran out. It has been hurting pretty bad and I have had some wierd symptoms like being freezing cold but sweating profusely.I need to know if I should go back to the hospital. I just need advice. Thanks.

Kicked To Lower Ribs, Hurts, Freezing, Sweating, Lacerated Spleen, Stopped Bleeding, On Norco. Suggestion?
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic The feeling of being cold and sweating may indicate that you have a fever. Infections can also sometimes be associated with pain in the area involved. You may want to return to the hospital for the doctors to determine if a secondary infection has occured. This would require examination of the abdomen, full blood count , ESR (checks for inflammation of the blood). If an infection is present, antibiotics would be required. I hope this helps
