Knee Pain, Swollen Leg. Had Broken Heel Bone Fixed. Will Different Type Of Shoe Help?

Hello, I just had a 19 year old broken heal bone fixed and it's doing find, but now my knee and lower knee are in pain and my lower half of my leg is swollen, this goes down through out the night and the pain is gone when I wake up. I been walking for three weeks with out the boot, with the boot on everything was OK. Could it be the tennie shoes I'm wearing (there a good brand), I'm going to buy a different type of shoe tonight - What do you think?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling and pain in the knee and the lower leg can be due to a bone bruise in the area. Only changing the shoe type will not help. MRI scan is recommended for proper diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Praveen-Tayal
