Knot Near Eye, On And Off Pain In Rib Cage In Some Positions. History Of Falling Off Ladder. Possible Bruise In The Heart?
Fell off ladder in garage on my left side. I have a knot by my left eye but something on my left rib cage is hurting too. It doesnt hurt to bearhe its just very painful when I lay in certain positions. I blacked out after I fell for like a hour. Could I have done something yo my ribs doesnt hurt all the time. Could I have bruised my heart. Thanks
Most propably you could have sustained a crack of a rib which produces typical symptoms as mentioned in the description.
This condition will resolve spontaneously within 3 weeks. The only thing that you have to keep in your mind is to avoid lying on the injured side.
The general guidelines of management is as follows-
* Rest to the injured part and dont involve in activities which puts additional strain on the injured tissues. * Ice packing should be applied for about 20 minutes once in every 2 hours. * Analgesic & anti inflammatory medications
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
