Large Pimple On Cleft, Red Blotchy Pimples On Butt And Severe Pain While Sitting Down. What Are The Required Treatments?
I have what appears to be a large pimple in my cleft, and it is covered with something dark, which appears to be dried up blood. I also have red blotchy looking pimples on butt. I have very good hygenie and never experienced such tremendous pain when I tried to sit down. I do sweat alot when working out, but I have no clue how this happened. Please help
Seems to be bacterial infection, furunculosis/folliculits i.e boils.
If i were your treating doctor, I would have put you empirically on a course of oral antibiotics for a week (penicillin or cepahlosporin group). You can get a prescription for this from your local practitioner
I would also want to send a pus sample for culture and sensitivity from the ruptured boil.
Apart from that you can apply topical mupirocin cream 2% to the affected area twice daily. Its available OTC.
Use an antibacterial soap and since you sweat a lot it would be advisable that you take a bath in morning as well as evening.
An OTC painkiller like Ibuprofen 400mg twice daily would help in relieving the pain.
