Left Upper Arm Pain Below Shoulder. Tried Physical, Massage Therapy, Cortisone Injections. How To Cure?
I have been having left upper arm pain about 2-3 inhes below my shoulder, mostly the inside part of my arm. I tried physical therapy, massage therapy, cortisone injections. The injections helped somewhat but it is still difficult to do things like reach for my seat belt or put my arm behind my back. What would be the next step?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. forum. Movement restriction may be due to, Tendinitis of deltoid and biceps muscles (over lying shoulder joint and below it). Chondritis of humerus lateral side , osteomyelitis, traumatic injury ( blunt), thrust ( sudden). Physical examination is very important , hence consult an Orthopaedician and get his opinion. X ray of effected part ,may be valuable. Massage and local injection may provide some relief , but not treatment , so consultation is very important. Hope I have answered your question. If further any question I will help. GOOD LUCK, Dr. HET
