Leg Injury, Painful Shin And Calf Muscle, Lump Formed, Severe Bruising. Worry?
I got kicked very hard on my leg during a game of football two and a half weeks ago. It was between my shin and inside of my calf muscle. There is still a lump which I'm trying to manipulate because i think its a knot in my muscle but the severe bruising has all but gone will the lump go should I be worried. Many thanks.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
From description it seems to be soft tissue injury and lump might be due to haematoma (collection of blood) which might get fibrosed.
Do not worry, it Will fade gradully. Do hot fomatation. If it increases in size or tender to touch, get it evaluated by your doctor.
Hope this will helps you.
Regards
