Legs Have An Indent On The Site Of Outside Incision Post Bilateral Fasciotomy. Normal?
i had a bilateral fasciotomy this past july due to compartment syndrome . My left leg developed a derma which was surgically drained in September. That incision did not close and an incision and drainage surgery was performed in november. both legs have an indent where the outside incision is. is that indent normal? it there anything i can do to get rid of it?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The indent that can be seen at the site of incision is likely to be due to superficial fibrosis or the scar. If the area is unsightly, then you can get it surgically corrected under the guidance of your cosmetologist.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
