Leiomyomas Of The Uterus Are Found In An Ultrasound Scan. Is Treatment Required For This Finding?
Hello Doctor please help me I had an ultrasound scan and they find out below Finding.an anteverted uterus is seen measuring (5.12×4.33.78cm) with heterogeneous myometrial echoes due to leiomyomata. The locations are as follows: 1. Anterior,subserous mayoma_1.4×1.83cm 2. Posterior,subserous mayoma 1.47×1.78cm. 3 . Posterior,suberous_3.37×3.30cm. The endometrial plate is 0.81cm normal thickness. Both ovaries are normal in size No adnexal mass is seen . The punch of Douglas is free of fluid. Conclusion .. uterine leiomyomata Please help me I don t understand the result ? Have the fibroids grown big? Is there any need for me to start treating it now If yes what kind of medication will I use. Am totally depressed about this Please I need your help am just 20yrs Thank you
Leiomyoma is otherwise called fibroid is a benign (non-cancerous) tumor found in females. In your case the it is of small size and probably doesn’t require treatment. You can consult a gynecologist only in case of symptoms like pain or bleeding.
