General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM Loose motion can be due to infection.so its a natural process of expelling it.It is not advisable to stop it by agents like loperamide everytime. It is advisable to take ORS fore overcoming dehydration.Antibiotics and antispasmodics are also prescribed in some.Your case the feeling you get may be due to spasm. It is better to have a consultation with your doctor to decide whether antibiotics will be necessary.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
