Losanorm, Ecosprin, Aten, Hypertension, BP. Is Medication Right?

I m taking Losanorm 50 H in the morning, ecosprin 150 in the afternoon, and Aten 25 in the night for hypertension since May 2011. At the time of prescription, my BP was 160/110 and I m 53 years old, weight 70 Kgs, height 5 9 . Now my BP is stable at 120/80. Please advice whether I m on right medication and how long I need to take medicines.

Hi
I would like to kn ow if you have any family history of heart diseases or have you suffered from any heart diseases in the past?
Did your doctor give you these medicines gradually or did you start taking all of them together. In particular I mean to ask about Losanorm H 50 and aten 25. Did you start taking both these drugs simultaneously?
Do you also have any other diseases like diabetes or Kidney diseases?
Only after I know all this can I comment on whether these medicines are fine.
Ideally If you just have hypertension and no other disease then your BP should be less than 140/90
Losanorm H 50 would have been enough alongwith ecosprin 150 mg. There maybe a reason why your doctor has also prescribed aten 25 in the night.
As your BP is under control and you have no problems while you are on these medicines it looks alright to me. I suggest you get a Lipid profile and full cardio testing (ECG, ECHO and Stress test) to rule out any heart diseases if you have not already done them.
Take care
