Lost Sense In Fingers, Shock Sensation In Palms. Had Uterus Removal Surgery. Taking Livogen. Take Zincovit Tablets Too?

Hi Doc! I am a typical Indian house wife. My age is 47. (this query is being written by son on my behalf)
I had my uterus removal surgery two years back. I do cook and wash cloths. All of sudden my fingers are senseless. Especially my end of fingers... I feel like a shock and it extends till my palm.. I collect myself by pressing my fingers and wearing gloves. When cold water spills on my hand, all the above symptoms appears within seconds. I am undertaking Livogen-Z tablets as per my doctor's recommendation. I don't' find any improvement. Please let me know what should i do? I am also consuming zincovit tablets along with above medicine. Please advise.

Hello,
The symptoms looks similar to Raynaud's phenomenon.
Because you have the symptoms immediately after the cold water spills.
Please check whether you have any of the following additional symptoms.
1. Pin and needles sensation in hands
2. Turning of hand to white then to blue
3. Returning of pink color on exposure to hot.

It may associated with plenty of collagen and auto immune disorders.
It may itself as an idiopathic.
Please do the following investigations.
1. Digital artery pressure
2. Doppler ultrasound
3. Full blood count
4. Blood test for urea and electrolytes
5. Thyroid function tests: this may reveal hypothyroidism.
6. An autoantibody screen
7. tests for rheumatoid factor
8. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and C-reactive protein
