Lower Tongue Sore, Veins Appear Dark Blue, Did Salt Water Rinse. Sign Of Infection?

Just under my tongue, directly behind my lower front teeth is sore. It's seems to be the base of the tongue, yet it's directly under the tongue behind lower teeth. Also, the veins that run ion the underside of the tinge appear very dark blue almost black. I did a salt water rinse; however, I'm concerned this is a sign of an infection or something worse. Please shed some light on ths.

Hi Dear

welcome to the Health care Magic

Dear friend Probably you have developed some small boil or ulcer in the subligual area(below the tongue )which is hurting you.

Usually these veins below the tongue( sub lingual area) are quite prominant and dark coloured.

Some time there is clotting of blood due to trauma , which heals very easily.

Some analgesic medicine and some oral antiseptic rinse will alleviate your symptoms

Hope your query is answered

Thanks
