Lump In Right Groin Area, Hard. Lab Tests Show No Bacteria Or Wbc. Any Ideas?
I have a lump in my right groin area, it was the size of a pea originally but has grown. It is fairly hard. I saw doctor who prescribed Keflex but that had no effect. I went back and had some fluid extracted with a needle and had penicillin prescribed. The lab results show no bacteria or white blood cells and now I am to told to go for an ultrasound.
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
It seems that this lump might be non specific enlarge lymph node.
It shows that there might be having some chronic infection surrounding or in lower abdomen.
If there is no other problem, ignore it.
If there is enlargement of lump, go for other investigations like ultra sound abdomen and other blood work.
Ok and bye.
