Lump In The Throat. Family History Of Thyroid Nodules. Healed Lipoma On The Head. Are These Related?
57 year old male I have a lump on the right side of my throat near the thyroid. No history of cancer in the family. My father did have a history of thyroid nodules . I had a lipoma on my back recently that came to a head and It continued to draw for a couple of weeks it is healed but this lump on my neck appeared right after that happened could it be related
Hi thanks for your question.
The position of swelling on your head you have not mentioned. If this swelling is on anterio lateral aspect of your head, then this swelling on head could be related to lump in on right side of neck. The lump in the right side neck could be enlarged lymph nodes secondary to swelling on head.If the swelling on head is on posterior part of head then there is no relation between the two and both are independent swelling.I would suggest you to consult a physician who may be able to examine you to establish any relation between the two and may prescribe you appropriate treatment.
Hope this answers your question.
