Lump On The Penis. No STD Or Cancer. Any Treatment?

Hi im Mark, 28 years old. About 3 years ago i got a small hard lump on the head of my penis , on the base not the tip. Of course i went to the doctor as any lump in that area is worrying. He told me it was nothing to worry about (not std or cancer ). He also said it may or may not disappear. It still remains and I havent really been bothered about it until now for some reason. Have you seen this before and if so is there any recommended treatments? Thanks
