Hello, I need help understanding these MRI results.
About 1.5 months ago I was struck on the head by a metal beam that fell on me. The CT scan showed Hydrocephalus. The neurologist sent me for an MRI to double check the CT results.
MRI: Moderate communicating hydrocephalus is present with dilatation of the ventricular system out of proportion with the degree of sulcal widening. A fourth ventricular CSF flow jet is demonstrated, characteristic of hydrocephalus.
Aside from a 2mm left-sided corona radiata T2 hyperintensity, parenchymal brain signal is normal.
Orbits, sella, parasellar regions, cerebellopontine angles and craniovertebral junction are unremarkable. No cyst, mass or abnormal fluid collection is detected and no intracranial bleed is identified.
What does all this mean, I've been reading up on Hydrocephalus and I'm scared.
Thank you for any clarification.
