Marijuana. Can I Safely Get An Abortion?

I'm going to get an abortion tomorrow and I'm taking the abortion pill. I smoked marijuana earlier and I found out you're not supposed to drink or do drugs 24hrs before the appointment. Will I be okay even though I smoked earlier? I'm not anymore I'm just worried the abortion might not work or something went wrong from me smoking.

Hello
Welcome to HCM

Marijuana is cannabis and it is a common drug of abuse. While in abortion procedure they advise to avoid stimulant drugs and alcohol because in rare circumstances if need of general anesthesia arises they may alter the doses of anesthetics. I would advise you to disclose the status of smoking to your gynecologist prior to procedure. It usually doesn't cause the failure of abortion procedure.

Thanks
