Medical Advice On Consulting GI Doctor For Abdominal Apin

Hi! I have recently been diagnosed with a slightly dialated pancreatic duct. I have upper abdominal pain that isn t associated with eating. I had a CT with contrasts which came back normal but my doctor wants me to see a GI doctor anyway. Is this really necessary? Couldn t this just be age related. Routine bloodwork was also normal.

HI.
Dilatation of the pancreatic duct is never age-related.
I would advise to for MRCP and later the ERCP, sphincterotomy and stenting should solve your problem.
