My one year old son suffers from phlegm once every two months because of change in climate or milk. Due to this he vomits out the milk as soon as he drinkfs mostly at night times. Can cefo-L rediuse syrup and kidpred syrup be given for phlegm whenever he gets it?
Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Small kids in early years are prone to infection and get cold frequently producing phlegm and it may not be necessarily due to milk every time.So occassionally there is vomiting during sickness which is probably due to indigestion and complicated due to the phlegm.When the child is having infection and fever that time he will need to get treated otherwise it is better to avoid medicines.Cefo-L is a antibiotic used to treat infection and Kidpred is a steroid and is used as a bronchodilator;during cough and severe chest congestion.Both medicines are to be used only on prescription of a doctor as steroid is not required every time and the antibiotic needs to be selected as per the sort of infection for which the doctor is expert and trained for.
Thanks
